Kael

Found somewhere on the first quarter, Kael is a slowly growing village. Their main export is textiles made from some rare fantasy sheep equivalent. They have frequent encounters from some kind of raiding force, undecided what yet.

Tavern - The Styx

Owner is an orc by the name of Stygian Sunder, often just called Styg. Their signature drink is also named The Styx, "It'll make you forget." to which a local or three will always chime in, "Forget what?" which elicits a knowing wink from Styg.

Trade -

Kael trades just enough to get by. It used to be a lot more, but the roads are a bit more dangerous as of late. They export textiles and grain surpluses and import most anything else they need.

Routes run the nearby major towns and cities, carrying goods and news along them.

The town has hired a mercenary force to protect the trade routes, but this is quickly draining the town's coffers. Someone needs to get to the heart of the issue and quell the raiding parties.

General Store -

Run by Camellia Shorthall, the general store is a great place to get most adventuring gear that isn't weapons or armour.

Alchemist Shop -

The town's specialist store. Run by someone best described as a hermit who lives in the centre of town. He does all his business by post, and the only ones who know him at all are the couriers, the mayor, and the handful of people who saw him as he moved in. He becomes irate very quickly with anyone who tries to figure out anything about him, and has even hired mercs to harass particularly curious individuals.

The manor-

A little west of the centre of town is a manor surrounded by stone walls. This belongs to an adventurer who settled down to become a merchant, and has finally retired. He's a reserved and stoic sort, and he gives off the air of someone who has seen untold pain, and now lives a quiet life with the scars from his prior career still haunting him.

Skywatch Tower -

Kael has one skywatch tower, located at the northern end of town. It's staffed by the local guard and a handful of volunteers. It's in desperate need of repair and visibility from it is limited.

The guard-

The local guard is made up of a core handful of members with a small rotating mercenary force brought in by the merchants.

Defences-

The Skywatch tower has a ballista mounted to it, however it has fallen into disrepair and is non functional currently.

There is one manor in town, it is protected by a stone wall. This manor belongs to someone? Wealthy city merchant who retired here? Ex adventurer? The mayor?

A cool tavern.

Trade routes and traders.

General store.

One specialist store.

Skywatch tower.

Small guard.

Rudimentary defences.
