Arcane Magic

Arcane magic is the magic harvested from the nearby star channelled through arcane implements embedded into the flesh.

To those who first use it, it evokes a low-level underlying feeling of excitement and lightheadedness. If it’s much more concentrated, this can become elation, nausea, headache, and eventually even full on mania. Sounds become tinny and very slightly pitch shifted higher, as if the world around you breathed in a bit of helium and spoke through a poor microphone.

(What does prolonged exposure do? Lessened empathy and sensory input gets thrown slightly off, maybe?)

Arcane magic classifications inspired by cyberpunk, and based on the type of augment. Optical/kinetic/grafted/etc. arcane installations? augments?
