Innate Magic
Innate magic is a byproduct of neural processes, while arcane is a byproduct of high-intensity releases of energy, similar to nuclear radiation.
Growth of innate magic is an increase in neurological activity or neurological capability while the brain slowly adjusts itself and uses the magic to cope with the increase. Most who become trained in it notice no internal differences, only external, as the brain and nervous system is accounting for it in the background similarly to how training a muscle works. If, theoretically, someone were to become inundated with will without slowly adapting to its usage, they would experience an uncontrollable buzzing of thoughts at a million miles per hour in their brain, deeply painful and distracting, almost to the point of losing their sense of self and capability to focus on the world. This would present in seizures and the appearance of a comatose state, though the person would still be fully experiencing the world, albeit as a torturous addition to the sensory overload they’d be experiencing.
Innate magic follows five broad classifications, though most practice of innate magic falls within these as spectrums rather than as specific pillars.
Practised, external, natural, kinetic, and emotive.
Practised = wizard shit
External = warlock/cleric shit
natural = druid shit
kinetic = fighter shit
emotive = sorcerer/bard shit
